Why intern for us:  

Vander Woude Dairy is a progressive, commercial, 3,200 milking cow dairy with opportunities to learn about management, genetics, maternity, and so much more. We strongly believe in doing our part to help shape future participants and leaders of the dairy industry through our program. Our team of highly skilled and experienced managers and employees are well-equipped to share their insights and knowledge through hands-on experiences. We strive to provide our interns with a well-rounded experience as they learn multiple aspects of the day-to-day running of a dairy throughout our intern program. 

Qualifications: 

• Studying an ag-related subject

  • (Including, but not limited to): agri-business, animal science, general agriculture, plant science, ag communications, etc.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a calm disposition around the cows, and someone willing to learn, ask questions, and expand their knowledge of the dairy industry.​​

Job Description:

As an intern you will be working closely with employees and managers of Vander Woude Dairy. You will be working in a variety of settings, including, but not limited to, maternity, heifer management, reproduction, etc.  Prior experience is not required, but is preferred, and an open and teachable mind and attitude is a must. Throughout the duration of your stay with us, housing will be provided, along with competitive and fair pay for the time you put in.
