Grand View's Beginnings: ​

On December 1, 2019, we took over operations of an already established dairy and herd. We renamed the established dairy "Grand View Dairy" as a testament to the beautiful view of the Sierra Nevada mountain range we have, in memory of our predecessor's first dairy, Valley View Dairy, and to pay homage to the town in which we stand. Since then, we have been able to create some exciting changes to operations, cow health and comfort, and employee satisfaction. 

This has always been a stand-alone business for us, which has enabled us to bring in some of our children as partners in this business today. In 2023, our son William became a partner in Grand View Dairy, and then in 2024 Ivan and Aubriana Hoogland (our daughter) also joined the business as partners. What a blessing it has been for us to include our children and give them an opportunity to be a part of this business as our parents did for us. We have been taking on many projects here as well, including a solar array, and soon a methane digester to continue our obligation to " do the right thing" in our businesses.
